What is the School Advisory Committee (SAC)?

Every DoDDS school has an elected School Advisory Committee. At Lester Middle School this committee is composed of 4 parents and 4 teachers who meet monthly with the principal and command representatives to discuss school concerns.

If I'm not an elected SAC member, may I attend the meetings?
YES! All parents are encouraged to attend the SAC meetings. Every meeting has an "open forum" time to discuss new issues.
 
May I suggest an item of concern for the SAC to discuss?
YES! Simply send your concern via email to:

The SAC will be more than happy to discuss your concern at the next meeting, and you will have limited time to elaborate during open forum. Please come with your comments organized.

What kinds of issues may I bring to SAC?

The SAC may discuss issues that relate to school programs and policies.
This is not a forum to discuss personal issues concerning one particular teacher or classroom.
